Angel Mathis, MN, MPH, ARNP, RN, FNP-Bc

Meet Angel Mathis, a seasoned healthcare professional with over two decades of experience in nursing. She received her BSN from Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY, and spent years working on the floor in emergency, med/surg and cardiac care. Then, she completed dual Masters degrees in Nursing and Public Health at the University of Washington. She has worked as a nurse practitioner in primary care and vaccine research. She is the former President of the King Country Nurses Association, and a former Fellow of the American Nurses Association Advocacy Institute,

At heart though, Angel is a nurse entrepreneur, and she is proud to be the Founder & CEO of Nurses Investing For Wealth™, which provides the first State Board of Nursing Approved Financial Literacy Program in the United States.

A product of a financially unstable childhood, Angel used nursing as a path to break the cycle of poverty in her family. For her, nursing was a financial lifeline that provided a level of freedom and stability that her parents never had.

So, driven by a mission that "one nurse's financial independence is another nurse's power," Angel empowers healthcare professionals to take control of their financial destiny. She provides step by step financial education, in order to help nurses live the lives they deserve and gain the confidence they need to make a meaningful impact in the nursing profession.
