Course Description

Oncology nurses are involved in the care of patients with cancer. They may provide direct care, in physician offices, hospitals, or outpatient treatment centers or work in non clinical roles such as patient navigator or education specialist. Oncology nurses are also employed by pharmaceutical or biotechnology firms or provide continuing education to the profession. . Nurses that are interested in the field should be aware of the variety of roles available as well as the rewards and challenges of being an oncology nurse.

Donna's leadership skills are evidenced by her past role as President of the Board of Directors of the New York City Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS).

Donna holds a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Delaware.
