Course Description

There is an ever-increasing interest in cannabis's potential benefits for wound healing. The Cannabis sativa plant has two main cannabinoids, each with different effects, that bind to the receptors of the human endocannabinoid system—including in the skin. Research into medical cannabis has only recently gained momentum. However, initial findings show potential for its use in wound healing. Healthcare practitioners should keep informed of the current state of knowledge, legal, safety, and regulatory concerns, as well as scientific advances in this field.
